Peter Lawson Jones
As we enter the last month of the year,
AAPEX is pleased to recognize
Peter Lawson Jones
as our
Artist of the Year for 2012.
One of the first playwrights to join our network, Peter's play, THE
FAMILY LINE, was the first script to receive an AAPEX reading, in
Cincinnati in July 2007. At that time, Peter held the elected position
of County Commissioner of Cuyahoga County, Ohio and also served on the
Board of Directors for Cleveland's Karamu House, one of the oldest
multi-cultural theatre companies in the country.
Peter is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. He is a
member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA and can currently be seen in "Alex Cross."
He is married and the father of three children.
After 22 years in elected offices, Peter has left the political arena
to focus on his career as an actor. For his amazing story as well as
his work as an actor, visit his website at www.peterlawsonjones.com
