Interested in having the 1st ten pages of your sample script read aloud by actors in front of a crowd? We are looking for aspiring and established African American and other minority screenplay writers to take part in our cold reading session Sunday 10/23. As a result we've run out of material for our hungry actors. Casting is done on the spot. Then your work will be given a cold read. This is a great opportunity to network with other African American filmmakers

I'm looking for a talented playwright to begin a working relationship with. I'm a director new to New York and I'm looking for a playwright with intelligent, gritty work. I'm very collaborative, driven, and will take good work to new places. I'm interested in developing a new play with a couple of readings and hopefully getting it produced. Please email me a short description of yourself and your experience writing. Also send a short writing sample from your best play (three to five pages).

I'll contact a few of the playwrights who had the best submissions. Interviews will be later this month. Deadline to submit: 6/4

I look forward to hearing from you!

I'm a versitile and experienced lyricist and composer, looking to find an experienced playwright to collaborate with. Interested in either/or musical comedy and musical drama--works for adults or children. You can listen to examples of my songs at www.myspace.com/andrewschoneberg I live on the central coast of California. You don't have to be located nearby; long distance collaboration might work. Ideally you have written the book (libretto) for musicals. At least you've written plays and are somewhat knowledgable about musical theater. Interested? Please e-mail something brief about your relevant experience, also any ideas you have for original musicals, or ideas for adaptations of existing works. Please mention any relationships you have that might help get our work produced. Examples of appropriate writing you've done would be great, now or after we've communicated. Thanks!
